VOLUTE DEWATERING PRESS, developed by AMCON, is a superior solution for managing surplus sludge from biochemical treatments, livestock wastewater, as well as oil bearing sludge from dissolved-air floatation thickening tanks. Sludge as dilute as 0.1% solids can be dewatered directly from a biological process such as oxidation ditch to form a cake of over 25% solids!

ES-ST  Single Tank

Single tank model uses one chemical (Polymer Coagulant) to flocculate sludge. It comes with built-in flow control tank, which controls sludge inflow at stable rate, eliminates the need for expensive metering pump.

ES-TT  Twin Tank

Twin Tank Model comes with two flocculation tanks to handle two chemicals (Polyferric Sulphate and Polymer Coagulant) in its sludge treatment process. Polyferric Sulphate is added to pre-condition sludge in the first tank, and then Polymer Coagulant is added to form larger flocs in the second tank before it flows into the VOLUTE cylinder.

Advantages of mechanical thickening with VT Series include low odor generation, a reduction in the load on the digester, cutting construction cost for conventional thickening tanks, and improved performance of belt press.
